Hello CSSMP,
thanks for your reply.
Well, i'm quite sure about other experiences: Internet is crowded by several threads/posts about that NIC.
Anyway i've already checked into HCL and both my NIC and MB are not listed. As i said, this is a test scenario, not a production one therefore i dreamed about the possibility to make this computer working even if i was out of HCL boundaries...:)
I wrote to this forum just to check if i was missing anything or if it was a trick to fix my problem...
Cheers
M

Are you sure about your RealTek onboard NIC? Did someone else state they have it working
I know some NIC's even though not listed in the VMWare HCL sometimes work, but when they don't and they're not on the list I would think your going to have to go a different route. Validate your NIC here and see if it's in the list and if not, guess you need to find another way ----> http://www.vmware.com/resources/compatibility/search.php?deviceCategory=io I just ran this and don't see anything per PIC attached. By all means have a run through the entire list by removing the KEYWORD or see if maybe someone else already has it working even though it's not on the list as I have seen that where it works even though not validated by VMWare.
